About Jayne.

I am a predominantly self taught artist based near Carmarthen, West Wales. UK.

Born in Birmingham in 1966, I narrowly missed being named after the entire World Cup winning team of that year by my Dad! Luckily being born a girl, my Mother happily settled on Jayne!

I moved to Wales after achieving an Art A Level in 1 year rather than 2 and have been painting ever since.

My work has been purchased locally as well as throughout England, Ireland, Scotland and the USA.

The old Welsh cottage I share with my husband, dogs, cat and hens is also where I have my small art studio, working there most days amongst the happy chaos!

My studio is not open to the public, but my work can be viewed and purchased via this site, and at the galleries and shops mentioned elsewhere on the site.

My beautiful surroundings are a constant source of inspiration to my work, the coastlines of Llansteffan, Laugharne, & Pembrokeshire, along with the street life of wonderful old Welsh towns & Villages.
I have always been fascinated by old buildings and streets and the life they contain, and really enjoy capturing the character of them in the paintings I produce - usually including bustling people and animals – but without a car or white van in sight!

I love to produce paintings that make people smile !
